An aircraft hangar located at Blair Field in Al Kut, Iraq, occupied by US Marine Corps Reserve (USMCR) Marines assigned to Kilo/Company, 3rd Battalion, 23rd Marine Regiment, bears the Units insignia for the 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion (LAR), who were the previous occupants, during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM.

But what I really want to know is...who got up on the hanger and drew the Iron Horse?
I was a LCPL with TOW Section, D co. 4 th lar in OIF 1 and that was our cp. I think LCPL Brendan King painted the mural.. not sure. The roof would crumble every time EOD would cook something off.
