Robert Redeker, French high school philosophy teacher Runs For His Life

Robert Redeker, French high school philosophy teacher, is running for his life with wife and kiddies, hiding underground for having balls too big for his britches. He actually expressed his opinion that the "the West is under ideological surveillance by Islam.” Immediately, after his article was published in Le Farago, Redeker began to receive death threats from the Islamist Web site known as Al Hesbah, with ties to Al Qaeda. The site had mug shots, home address, directions to his house and his cellphone number. One can never have enough info when it comes to making a hit on upppity teachers who refuse to toe the party line. After all, are we not in agreement that for the Islamic Fascists to succeed the West MUST give up the Right to Free Speech. It's a given. Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin totally understands this fact and is willing to lend a helping hand to all Free French who are still confused as to their place in the coming new world order. On Friday, the Prime Minister explained the situation here and called the threats “unacceptable,” UNACCEPTABLE. Yes. He said: UNACCEPTABLE. Ok. “We are in a democracy. Everyone has the right to express his views free(insert caveat), while respecting others, of course.” Of course, you live in a democracy. What's more life in a "democracy" comes with the right to express your views freely. PROVIDED you don't piss off our dear friends and the new rulers of France.
Another Frenchman, also with a big ball problem, Philippe de Villiers, wrote President Jacques Chirac a letter on Friday asking that Mr. Redeker be given “shelter — as a symbol — at the Élysée Palace, which is the palace of the republic, rather than let him wander,” according to Agence France-Presse.
For those of you who still do not understand the Islamic memo Anjem Choudary will explain the fine print Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin alluded to under "while respecting others" :
Anjem Choudary here is going to make you an offer you can't refuse:
  • "The Muslims take their religion very seriously and non-Muslims must appreciate that and that must also understand that there may be serious consequences if you insult Islam and the prophet.
  • "Whoever insults the message of Mohammed is going to be subject to capital punishment."He added: "I am here have a peaceful demonstration.
  • But there may be people in Italy or other parts of the world who would carry that out.

  • "I think that warning needs to be understood by all people who want to insult Islam and want to insult the prophet of Islam."

What should the free world do while facing Islamist intimidation?

The reactions caused by Benedict XVI’s analysis of Islam and violence highlight the underhanded maneuver carried out by Islam to stifle what the West values more than anything, and which does not exist in any Muslim country: freedom of thought and expression.

Islam tries to impose its rules on Europe : opening of public swimming pools at certain hours reserved exclusively for women, ban on caricaturing this religion, demands for special diets for Muslim children in school cafeterias, struggle to impose the veil at school, accusations of Islamophobia against free spirits.

How can one explain the ban on the wearing thongs on Paris-Beaches* this summer? The reasoning put forth was bizarre: women wearing thongs would risk “disturbing the peace”. Did this mean that bands of frustrated youths would become violent while being offended by displays of beauty? Or were the authorities scared of Islamist demonstrations by virtue squads near Paris-Beaches?

However, the authorization of the veil on the street is more disturbing to public peace than wearing a thong, because it invites complaints against the upholding the oppression of women .This ban represents an Islamization of sensibilities in France, a more or less conscious submission to the diktats of Islam. At the very least it is the result of the insidious Muslim pressure on the minds: even those who protested the introduction of a “Jean Paul II Square” in Paris would not be opposed to the construction of mosques. Islam is trying to force Europe to yield to its vision of humanity.

As in the past with Communism, the West finds itself under ideological watch. Islam presents itself, like defunct Communism, as an alternative to the Western world. In the way of Communism before it, Islam, to conquer spirits, plays on a sensitive string. It prides itself on a legitimacy which troubles Western conscience, which is attentive to others: it claims to be the voice of the oppressed of the planet. Yesterday, the voice of the poor supposedly came from Moscow, today it originates in Mecca! Again, today, western intellectuals incarnate the eye of the Koran, as they have incarnated the eye of Moscow. They now excommunicate people because of Islamophobia, as they did before because of anti-communism.

This opening to others, specific to the West, is a secularization of Christianity that can be summarized thus:the other person must come before myself. The Westerner, heir to Christianity, is the that exposes his soul bare. He runs the risk of being seen as weak. With the same ardor as Communism, Islam treats generosity, broadmindedness, tolerance, gentleness, freedom of women and of manners, democratic values, as marks of decadence. They are weaknesses that it seeks to exploit, by means of useful idiots, self-righteous consciences drowning in nice feelings, in order to impose the Koranic order on the Western world itself.

The Koran is a book of unparalleled violence. Maxime Rodinson states, in Encyclopedia Universalis, some truths that in France are as significant as they are taboo. On one hand: “Mohammed revealed in Medina unsuspected qualities as political leader and military chief (…) He resorted to private war, by then a prevalent custom in Arabia (….) Mohammed soon sent small groups of partisans to attack the Meccan caravans, thus punishing his unbelieving compatriots and simultaneously acquiring the booty of a wealthy man.”

There is more: “Mohammed profited from this success by eradicating the Jewish tribe which resided in Medina, the Quarayza, whom he accused of suspect behaviour.” And: “After the death of Khadija, he married a widow, a good housewife, called Sawda, and in addition to the little Aisha, barely ten years old. His erotic predilections, held in check for a long time, led him to ten simultaneous marriages .”

A merciless war chief, plunderer, slaughterer of Jews and a polygamist, such is the man revealed through the Koran.

Of , the Catholic church is not above reproach. Its history is strewn with dark pages, for which it has officially repented. The Inquisition, the hounding of witches, the execution of the philosophers Giordano Bruno and Vanini, those wrong-thinking Epicureans, in the 18th century the execution of the knight of La Barre for impiety, do not plead in the church’s favor. But what differentiates Christianity from Islam is obvious: it is always possible to go back to true evangelical values, the peaceful character of Jesus as opposed to the deviations of the Church.

None of the faults of the Church have their roots in the Gospel. Jesus is non-violent. Going back to Jesus is akin to forswear the excesses of the Church. Going back to Mahomet, to the conbtrary, reinforces hate and violence. Jesus is a master of love, Mahomet is a master of hatred.

The stoning of Satan, each year in Mecca, is not only an obsolete superstition. It not only sets the stage for a hysterical crowd flirting with barbarity. Its import-is anthropological. Here is a rite, which each Muslim is invited to submit to, that emphasizes violence as a sacred duty in the very heart of the believer.

This stoning, accompanied each year by the accidental trampling to death of some of the believers, sometimes up to several hundreds, is a rite that feeds archaic violence.

Instead of getting rid of this archaic violence, and thus imitating Judaism and Christianity (Judaism starts when it abandons human sacrifice, and enters civilization; Christianity transforms sacrifice through the Eucharist), Islam builds a nest for this violence, where it will incubate. Whereas Judaism and Christianity are religions whose rites spurn violence, by delegitimizing it, Islam is a religion that exalts violence and hatred in its everyday rites and sacred book.

Hatred and violence dwell in the book with which every Muslim is brought up, the Koran. As in the Cold War, where violence and intimidation were the methods used by an ideology hell bent on hegemony, so today Islam tries to put its leaden mantel all over the world. Benedict XVI’s cruel experience is testimony to this. Nowadays, the West has to be called the “free world” in comparison to the Muslim world; likewise, the enemies of the “free world”, the zealous bureaucrats of the Koran’s vision, swarm in the very center of the free World.

Anne Applebaum - Enough Apologies - washingtonpost.com

Anne Applebaum - Enough Apologies - washingtonpost.com: "Maybe it's a pipe dream: The day when the White House and Greenpeace can issue a joint statement is surely distant indeed. But if stray comments by Western leaders -- not to mention Western films, books, cartoons, traditions and values -- are going to inspire regular violence, I don't feel that it's asking too much for the West to quit saying sorry and unite, occasionally, in its own defense. The fanatics attacking the pope already limit the right to free speech among their own followers. I don't see why we should allow them to limit our right to free speech, too."

DSU-3 aka Bravo 4th LAR Departs for Second Tour of Iraq this time as Riverines

Fort Detrick Reserve Marines, in a previous life known as Bravo 4th LAR, (Light Armored Reconnaissance), left their home base for the start of a second tour of Iraq this time as a unit named DSU-3 (Dam Security Unit) aka Riverines. For one tour only, B4LAR Marines will be in charge of dam security for the Haditha Dam and river patrols on the Euphrates River. The Yankee Navy, in its infinite wisdom, has decided to horn in on Marine operations and will take over from DSU-3 in 7 months. Marine Riverine Units will be disbanded and relegated to the Marine History Archives at CMC HQ.

B4LAR Marines trained at Camp Lejeune's Special Missions Training Center to transform into a small-craft company that included boat operations with a jet pump powered boat called a SURC. The SURC is the cutting edge of technology boat so powerful it can turn on a dime, make change and your lunch all in one turn. B4LAR also trained in infantry tactics and small-unit land operations and a no bullshit, kick butt attitude. The following pictures are from DSU-2 now in Iraq.

From The Virginian-Pilot--Navy's new river-patrol force

ELIZABETHTOWN, N.C. - Marine Staff Sgt. Erick Hodge shot one final question at the 30 sailors slumped on the bank of Cape Fear River after an eight-hour training exercise.

How many had left blank ammunition in the chamber of their guns?

Groans. About one-third of the sailors raised their arms.

When you're in Iraq, using live bullets, that's a good way to accidentally shoot your buddy, Hodge barked. "That's a bad day."

More groans from the Navy men.

It's one thing for sailors to climb the learning curve toward becoming a combat-ready unit. They're finding it's quite another to hump it with the tough and aggressive Marine Corps.

Since early June, about 100 Virginia Beach-based sailors have trained at Camp Lejeune to transform from a collection of fleet sailors and specialists into a tight river patrol force. It moves regular sailors closer to combat than anytime in a generation.

Lt. Cmdr. Mike Egan, executive officer of Riverine Squadron 1, based at Little Creek, nodded along with the Marine's blunt debriefing on a recent weekend morning.

"It's not personal; i t's business," Egan said. "Their sole purpose and dedicated interest is to get us to come back alive."

The U.S. Navy has a long history in riverine combat, but little since waging war in the Vietnamese delta in the 1960s and early ' 70s.

The Marine Corps has handled the bulk of river patrol missions in unstable nations, particularly in Latin America. In Iraq, the infantrymen established river patrols along the Euphrates near Baghdad shortly after the 2003 invasion.

Hodge, a 12-year Marine, was with the first deployment to river duty in Iraq in 2004. Two years later, he was in Fallujah. "We broke the brush for the rest of the platoon," he said.

They returned home with valuable battle experience. Now, Hodge is training sailors on tactics and experiences learned along the Euphrates. The Navy unit worked through ways to move its 36-foot boats across land, repair jet engines in the shallow waters and spot ambushes.

After months of initial training at Little Creek, the new generation of river rats now face Marine instructors and their habit of telling the unvarnished truth.

Marines "take for granted being infantry," Hodge said. "They're learning that."

And for sailors, it's been an adjustment.

Petty Officer 3rd Class Matthew Freeman, a lanky redhead from Modesto, Calif., said he joined the Navy two years ago "so I wouldn't have to go to combat."

Yet after spending his short career in the fleet, working as a firefighter aboard the destroyer Bainbridge, the Navy tapped the 20-year-old for its new force.

Among the perils of being on a Marine base, Freeman has discovered, sailors were scolded for acting up in the chow line - while the Marines waited quietly at parade rest for their food.

"You get a lot of weird looks," Freeman said.

At the start of infantry training, he and several buddies shaved their heads. He's since let it grow back out to sailor length. Still, he's adopted the infantry ethos for his gunner job: "Make sure my gun fires and take care of my boat crew."

Petty Officer 3rd Class Josh Holder spent four years in the Army before switching to the sea service. He wanted to join the special warfare community but did not make the cut on his first attempt.

Holder, 25, worked his way into the riverine force, where he serves as a boat driver. Some sailors haven't shed their less formal, blue-water attitude - but the Marines are trying to break them, he said.

"They all have that gung-ho mentality," he said. "I've absolutely got to see what the other side is."

During the recent training, two squadrons of sailors and their Marine handlers converged on the swollen banks of the Cape Fear River.

They bivouacked on a state park with a boat ramp and a lock, about a mile from small downtown Elizabethtown.

The sailors left behind air-conditioned berthing and hot chow lines. They deployed for the weekend in nylon tents and ate MREs, or meals ready to eat. They split into groups and ran night and day missions.

The first group piled into four patrol boats at dusk and plied the muddy waters.

Gunnery Sgt. Tom Scudder, who led his infantry unit into the bloody second battle for Fallujah, waited and watched for action from the opposite bank, under a full moon.

The riverine sailors sensed an ambush and stopped short around a bend. They slipped off the boat, crept through the woods and took the enemy by surprise.

The woods glowed underneath a drifting flare and cracked with practice M-16 rounds.

Scudder nodded in approval. "Exactly how I would have done it," he said. "Exactly."

The morning proved more difficult for the four-boat patrols.

The three-hour mission began smoothly enough, until a loud improvised explosive device blew up along the river bank less than a mile from camp. Mock insurgents opened up on the surprised and confused unit.

Down went the boat captain and starboard gunner on the six-man crew aboard one of the lead boats. Chaos and profanity reigned.

Cpl. Jeff Raider, a riverine vet training the sailors, said later that the crew handled the mission well - until the shooting started.

"When they got into contact, they lost their minds," Raider said.

Marine training means working hard under stress and respecting a strict chain of command, he said. "These guys," he added, "joke around too much."

At the debriefing, Scudder offered some advice to the weary squids. Move toward the fire.

"You sat there and did nothing," Scudder said. "You have weapons. Use them. Violence. You need to shoot."

Egan said the Navy understands the squadron is still learning. They are scheduled to relieve a Marine reserve unit in Iraq in March.

"You can't question orders," Egan said. "Sometimes you can, on an aircraft carrier 500 miles off the coast of Pakistan."

Some are beginning to grasp what combat means.

"I have great respect for what they do," said Petty Officer 2nd Class Tyrone Cole, a gunner. "When you get here, it has to be that way." By LOUIS HANSEN,

From the Navy Times---Marines Train Sailors to do Riverine Warrior Work

CAPE FEAR RIVER, N.C. — The sailors hide under a tree. It’s black as ink beneath the leaves, despite a bright moon.

They’ve nosed their riverine assault craft up on the bank with another boat, while two more creep back from a ferry crossing up ahead. Those two boats just put a squad of heavily armed sailors ashore to intercept gun-smuggling “insurgents.”

The Navy ground combat element went in shooting, but it’s quiet now both ashore and afloat, the loud diesel motors shut off.

Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Neath Williams keeps a weather eye from under the tree.

“We’re just hanging out here,” he said. “We don’t want to be in the middle of the river.”

He stands aboard a dark green assault craft, gripping an M-240 machine gun. His medical kit and backboard are stashed under the gun.

Williams has been in the Navy for seven years, but he’s spent it all with Fleet Marine Force. He went into Iraq in 2003 with the Marine invasion forces as a member of a shock trauma platoon.

He’s in good enough shape to seriously consider Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL training, but now he’s in Riverine Squadron 1, headquartered at Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek, Va. It’s his first actual Navy assignment, and he couldn’t be happier.

“I like this group. Everyone wants to be here. That makes it worthwhile,” he said in the darkness. “We’re all on the same sheet of music. I’m with a whole bunch of guys who want to be riverines.”

That’s what they call themselves — “riverines,” not “dirt sailors” or “devil squids.”

They came from all over the fleet — off destroyers, from the Seabees, out of the gators and small boat units. Two of the 225 sailors in the squadron came right from boot camp, and the brown-water Navy is the first Navy they’ll know.

They don’t look like Marines and they don’t look like soldiers. They look like sailors in camouflage utilities armed with carbines and machine guns. And they think they’ve found the coolest job in the Navy.

As former fleet sailor Senior Chief Boatswain’s Mate Bruce Diette put it, “I volunteered for this duty. I think this is the best thing the Navy has going on right now.”

Taking care of business

Riverine Squadron 1 is the newest combat unit in the Navy. It’s part of Navy Expeditionary Combat Command, a new type of command formed specifically as a naval force for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and other operations. It puts the new riverine unit, Seabees, explosive ordnance disposal, divers, coastal warfare squadrons and expeditionary logistics under a command that can put forces up inland waterways, through the river deltas and on the green littoral sea, whether it’s for expeditionary combat or humanitarian relief.

And the fact that a dozen sailors armed like an infantry squad are now shooting up a ferry crossing in North Carolina just upriver shows the Navy has jumped in with both feet.

The disembarked sailors have found their “insurgents” and it’s time for them to come out. The diesels roar, the boats maneuver and blank machine gun fire flashes and thuds.

As the boats carrying the ground force speed by, gunners behind the .50-caliber machine guns fore and aft on Williams’ boat start thumping out covering fire. Soon, the corpsman joins in with his M-240. He clearly enjoys the work.

“We’re pretty much ready for whatever they throw at us,” Williams said later. “By the time we’re done with training, I know we’ll be able to take care of business.”

Changing the sailor ‘mind-set’

Williams is gung-ho, but whether the squadron’s sailors are ready to go to Iraq in the spring will be up to the Marines who have trained them.

This past summer, the squadron went through Marine infantry training at Camp Lejeune, N.C., and now the unit is under a cadre of combat veterans who are teaching the sailors how to operate on rivers.

Although the Navy had a strong riverine force in Vietnam, its brown-water force atrophied in the years following the war. The remaining expertise resided with special warfare units who support SEALs. In recent years, conventional river operations were left to a Marine small craft company. But after operating up and down the Euphrates River in Iraq for two years, that unit was disestablished in 2005 under Marine force restructuring. The riverborne Marines in Iraq now are reserve provisional units that will be relieved by the Navy squadron this spring.

For the Marine training cadre getting the Navy riverines spooled up, the biggest lesson they’ve tried to impart is “a sense of urgency.”

In the most diplomatic ways possible, the combat veterans talk about changing the sailor “mind-set.”

Gunnery Sgt. Thomas Scudder is the senior staff noncommissioned officer for the Marine detachment of the joint Special Missions Training Center at Camp Lejeune.

A former reconnaissance Marine and infantry platoon leader with two Iraq tours, Scudder puts the sailors into situations where they need to make decisions quickly. Every sailor has to be able to man every spot on the boat, and no task can be put off for later.

“Things need to be done right away. It’s not, ‘Hey, we’ll get around to the boat later.’ It’s not lackadaisical. You don’t go back and play Xbox or anything like that,” he said.

Scudder has seen the sailors evolve since they’ve been under Marine training.

“Marines are brought up one way. The Navy is brought up another,” he said. “There’s a lot of good ones, a good mentality and a good sense of what they’re getting themselves into. They’ll find out exactly when they get there.”

He means it.

After one training evolution that involved two boat crew casualties and a broken boat, Scudder scolds the sailors for being hesitant while under fire.

“Violence,” he tells them. “You need to understand. Shoot. Shoot. You have the weapons. Use the damn things.”

One of Scudder’s trainers put it succinctly while waiting to ambush the sailors from the riverbank.

Cpl. Jackson Wilson was a coxswain on a Marine riverine boat during the second push into Fallujah in November 2004. It was a bloody battle, and the enemy fought hard. His crew went through thousands and thousands of rounds of ammunition.

Because a boat is a fat target on a river, “make sure you do what you’re told to do, and do it quick — real quick,” he said. “You need to gain fire superiority immediately.”

When it comes to operating in a small boat crew in combat, he said to remember one thing: “immediate obedience to direct orders.”

Keeping the mission straight

Lt. Cmdr. Mike Egan, executive officer of Riverine Squadron 1, comes from the EOD community. He began his Navy career 25 years ago as an electronics technician on the submarine Tinosa.

The command has three boat detachments of 50 sailors each and a headquarters element with 75 sailors. Within the boat crews are sailors with extra maritime interdiction training; they make up the ground combat element.

Egan said there’s still some debate over how much the riverines will go ashore, but the riverine mission is clearly for the Navy.

“The Navy’s focus is always on the water. The Marine focus is always on the ground. As long as we always keep that straight, there won’t be any mission creep that we really need to be concerned about.”

As the first squadron gets ready for a six- to nine-month deployment in Iraq, a second squadron is being manned and a third will follow. After going through the same training, Riverine Squadron 2 will take over for the first squadron in Iraq.

But Egan said his guys will have more work when they get back.

“There are already missions and requirements for us in different parts of the world, like South America and Indonesia, anywhere you can imagine that has extensive waterways.”

High speed, low drag

Egan’s sailors feel fortunate to be riverines.

It’s a Saturday morning and Diette, the senior chief boatswain’s mate, just got off a mission where he was the patrol navigator. When the Marine opposing forces ambushed the sailors, Diette and the patrol leader were “killed.” The cadre also “disabled” a boat that had lashed up for towing.

Before this, Diette was the leading chief petty officer of the deck division on the destroyer Howard. Under Marine training, he’s seen more flexibility for “free thinking” and more responsibility for young sailors.

He’s learning how to call in artillery and air support. He’s watching his young sailors learn and grow and work toward an expeditionary warfare qualification.

He loves it.

“It’s real high-speed, low-drag. All I know is, I was lucky,” he said. “I’m working with motivated sailors who will not give up in any situation.”

According to Diette, one aspect of riverines that differs from his fleet experience is that his E-3s manning belt-fed machine guns have weapons release authority, and they’re expected to use it.

“A lot of people are not really going to understand that when they read it or hear it, but I would invite them to come and get on the boat and run a mission and see how much goes on with 20 guys to really understand it.”

One of those young sailors is Boatswain’s Mate Seaman Michael Huggins. He’s 19, right out of boot camp, and now, he’s a riverine bow gunner.

When he was the only one of 80 in his recruit division to get orders for the riverine squadron, no one could tell him what it was.

Now he’s living and working with four other sailors — his boat crew — and it’s the Navy he knows.

“Everybody tells me how lucky I am,” he said. “I am looking forward to staying in the Navy as long as I am doing this.”

Victor Davis Hanson:" Make no apologies for the use of “Islamic fascism. "..."They are fascists of an Islamic sort, pure and simple."

For the 10% that never gets the word, for the others that think that making nice will satisfy the beast, for the many who think the war is a ridiculous administration ploy for power--Victor Davis Hanson has the class for you

Islamic Fascism 101
On all they’ve done to earn the name.

By Victor Davis Hanson

Make no apologies for the use of “Islamic fascism.” It is the perfect nomenclature for the agenda of radical Islam, for a variety of historical and scholarly reasons. That such usage also causes extreme embarrassment to both the Islamists themselves and their leftist “anti-fascist” appeasers in the West is just too bad.

First, the general idea of “fascism” — the creation of a centralized authoritarian state to enforce blanket obedience to a reactionary, all-encompassing ideology — fits well the aims of contemporary Islamism that openly demands implementation of sharia law and the return to a Pan-Islamic and theocratic caliphate.

In addition, Islamists, as is true of all fascists, privilege their own particular creed of true believers by harkening back to a lost, pristine past, in which the devout were once uncorrupted by modernism.

True, bin Laden’s mythical Volk doesn’t bath in the clear icy waters of the Rhine untouched by the filth of the Tiber; but rather they ride horses and slice the wind with their scimitars in service of a soon to be reborn majestic world of caliphs and mullahs. Osama bin Laden sashaying in his flowing robes is not all that different from the obese Herman Goering in reindeer horns plodding around his Karinhall castle with suspenders and alpine shorts.

Because fascism is born out of insecurity and the sense of failure, hatred for Jews is de rigueur. To read al Qaeda’s texts is to reenter the world of Mein Kampf (naturally now known as jihadi in the Arab world). The crackpot minister of its ideology, Dr. Zawahiri, is simply a Dr. Alfred Rosenberg come alive — a similar quarter-educated buffoon, who has just enough of a vocabulary to dress up fascist venom in a potpourri of historical misreadings and pseudo-learning.

Envy and false grievance, as in the past with Italian, German, or Japanese whining, are always imprinted deeply within the fascist mind. After all, it can never quite figure out why the morally pure, the politically zealous, the ever more obedient are losing out to corrupt and decadent democracies — where “mixing,” either in the racial or religious sense, should instead have enervated the people.

The “will” of the German people, like the “Banzai” spirit of the Japanese, should always trump the cowardly and debased material superiority of decadent Western democracies. So al Qaeda boasts that in Somalia and Afghanistan the unshakeable creed of Islam overcame the richer and better equipped Americans and Russians. To read bin Laden’s communiqués is to be reminded of old Admiral Yamamato assuring his creepy peers that his years in the United States in the 1920s taught him that Roaring Twenties America, despite its fancy cars and skyscrapers, simply could not match the courage of the chosen Japanese.

".....but there should be no argument over who they are and what they want. They are fascists of an Islamic sort, pure and simple.

VIA: Western Resistance blog: Bangladesh: Muslims In Government Persecute Pro-Israel Journalist

Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury, editor and journalist of a web-based news magazine called Weekly Blitz, will be tried for sedition by the Bangladesh government. Choudhury is pro-Israel and writes articles warning of the rise of the Borg ("Resistance Is Futile")Collective He was arrested at the airport where he was boarding a plane to attend a conference of writers in Israel. This was the second time Choudhury was arrested. The first time, in the 90's, he was imprisoned and tortured. His brother was beaten and threaten. His family was harassed and abused. The Borg can not allow individuals with Balls the size of aircraft carriers to live.

"Dhaka, Bangladesh: At approximately 1:40 PM Dhaka time on September 19, the blow we all feared but had come to believe would not come, happened. A judge ruled that Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury would stand trial for sedition, a capital offense. Since then, the government set the first date of the trial, October 12, 2006. Shoaib was arrested by the Bangladesh government in 2003. He was imprisoned under often deplorable conditions and tortured after angering the government and radicals there by warning his country about the rise of Islamist terrorism in his country, urging Bangladesh to recognize Israel, and advocating REAL interfaith understanding and religious equality. In April 2005, after seventeen months in prison, the government reluctantly freed Shoaib after we waged an unrelenting battled with the help of US Congressman Mark Kirk (R-IL) who still is championing Shoaib’s case." via Atlas Shrugs: Islam Dominates--- Dick Cheny Called it Three years ago

Atlas Shrugs: "Three years ago Dick Cheney said: 'This enemy holds no territory, defends no population, is unconstrained by rules of warfare, and respects no law of morality. Such an enemy cannot be deterred, contained, appeased, or negotiated with. It can only be destroyed, and that's the business at hand.'"

The former Archbishop of Canterbury Lord Carey of Clifton and the Church of England’s Archbishop of York, John Sentamu, try to dialogue with Islam

Following the Popes lead, the former Archbishop of Canterbury, Lord Carey challenged Islam to confront its "violent" strain. Elsewhere, the Archbishop of York, John Sentamu tried to engage Muslims in England with this plea:
“My plea to all Muslims in this country is the words of Jesus Christ, who to you is a prophet and to me a savior,” said Archbishop John Sentamu, who then quoted the words of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew. “You have heard that it was said, you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. If you love those who love you, what reward do you have?”

Muslim Council of Britain spokesman Inayat Bunglawala wasn't interested in any of this saying:

Just as we could not call on Jews to turn the other cheek when faced with anti-Semitism, it cannot be right that we are asked to tolerate anti-Muslim prejudice,” responded Muslim Council of Britain spokesman Inayat Bunglawala. “We should have a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of prejudice, be it anti-Jewish, anti-Muslim or anti-Christian. But we cannot just turn the other cheek.”

Prejudice, however, is within the eye of the beholder. Especially if you are seriously invested in remaining with the narrow confines of the 7th century. However, this "investment" as with all investments did not manifest itself as an air plant.
An insightful conclusion from The Belmont Club:

How has it happened that the most unlikely persons are speaking on what is apparently the most volatile of subjects? It is doubly surprising because there is a powerful reluctance within the organizational culture of Christian churches to voice any criticism of another religion. The statements by Pope Benedict XVI, Lord Carey and Cardinal Pell are really near-despairing expedients to fill the aching void left by Western cultural and political leaders -- a vacuum which has emboldened militant Islamic preachers to cross boundaries they would have respected until recently. This erasure of cultural borders caused by the near total desertion of the frontier by the so-called opinion-leaders has invited the most reckless elements of Islam across and raised the risk of real clash of civilizations. As Lord Carey put it: "We are living in dangerous and potentially cataclysmic times". It is a time made perilous not only by the absence of moderate voices within Islam but by the even more conspicuous absence of any leadership among Western politicians. It is a failure which will sooner or later lead to what military historians call a "meeting engagement" in which two forces, each possessed of its own momentum, blunder into each other with catastrophic results. A false kind of tolerance has abolished the fence between the piggery and mosque, the adult video store and the cathedral, the flaming match and the stick of dynamite and called it progress. It is no such thing. It is called stupidity.

The Pope and Theo Van Gogh

The Pope, bless his heart and good intentions, tried to initiate a dialogue with Islam and the response he received was no better than the one Theo Van Gogh, who was butchered on the streets of Holland, got from Mohammed Bouyeri who, by some incredible coincidence, happens to be a Muslim born in Holland and spoke fluent Dutch. Theo Van Gogh shouted, "We can still talk about it! Don't do it! Don't do it." But the Islamic Fascist didn't stop. He shot him again, slit open his throat and stabbed a letter with Koranic verses to his stomach with another knife. So much for dialogue.
The Pope would have been better off had he read the Riot Act to the Muslims instead of this fictitious dialogue a thousand years old. Something on the order of:
"The Howard Government's multicultural spokesman, Andrew Robb, yesterday told an audience of 100 imams who address Australia's mosques that these were tough times requiring great personal resolve.
Mr Robb also called on them to shun a victim mentality that branded any criticism as discrimination.
"We live in a world of terrorism where evil acts are being regularly perpetrated in the name of your faith," Mr Robb said at the Sydney conference.
"And because it is your faith that is being invoked as justification for these evil acts, it is your problem.
"You can't wish it away, or ignore it, just because it has been caused by others.
'Instead, speak up and condemn terrorism, defend your role in the way of life that we all share here in Australia.'"

The Pope and the Islamic Fascists thugmasters:The American Thinker

Yesterday, the Pope issued a simple invitation to all Muslims to "to join a dialogue of cultures that agrees the concept of Islamic “holy war” is unreasonable and against God’s nature." In Marine speak, the volley ball just got spiked! Just when you thought the thugmasters had no need for fig leaves. Zing! POW! OUCH!!

"Pope Benedict’s challenge puts the ball squarely in the Muslim court. Muslim leaders around the world constantly wink at bloody terrorism. They are now in a triple bind. If they ignore the Pope’s call, even Europeans will wonder why. If they deny supporting ‘holy’ wars, they pull out the rug from the violent jihadis. And if they openly applaud holy war against the infidels, they let the cat out of the bag."

In the Bag:Gulbuddin Hekmatyar Reported Captured (The Fourth Rail)

Bill Roggio has the details of a major thugmaster bust who, contrary to earlier pronouncements, surrendered quietly in eastern Afghanistan. Hekmatyar is a big score for the Afghan and Coalition forces w/this Kahuna in the bag.

Gulbuddin Hekmatyar Reported Captured (The Fourth Rail)

The Navy Wants the USMC Riverines Back

The Navy, in its infinite wisdom, wants the Marine's riverine operations back. Navy sailors are now in training to learn, not only the intricacies of maneuvering jet pump propelled boats but the art of being a Marine grunt with an eye to ambush tactics, call for fire and other actions which become as common as breathing to a Marine and absolutely vital to the mission. Five years into the war and the Navy now wants the riverine's ball? The Marines are now in motion to send their last unit of riverines to Iraq. They have, at the same time, been training their future replacements. The Navy, in its infinite wisdom, does not have formal schools or experienced sailors in riverine operations. Marine instructors trained the Navy riverines. Marines trained the sailors to take over their job of Iraqi dam security and thugmite free water ways. I hope the Navy, in its infinite wisdom, hasn't pulled the stiff one eye on their new riverines. Fresh from boring shifts and dusty four walls the new Navy riverines did not exactly enlist to hump hills and set ambush sites. Compared to the Marines they are replacing what kind of training scores are these new Navy Riverines making? Compare and contrast.

You got problems with Islamic Terrorists? Don't Come Crying to Us...You created them....

The headline, A Monster Created by West,
in the Arab News says it all: Our policies, ideas, hell our very existence is responsible for creating the Jihad Frankenstein.

"Western policies in the region are the most influential factor in aggravating rage among Muslim communities in Europe and the US. People don’t really need to do much investigating in order to see that the campaign carried out in the name of war on terrorism has been a colossal failure. The campaign was used to enlarge and generalize the terrorism circle. This is a very important point to highlight. It’s actually very puzzling how decision makers in countries which initiated the war in Iraq won’t admit this truth. They insist on pursuing the same policies that have made things worse." Fahmi Howaidy writing in the Arab News isn't alone in providing safe harbor for this don't look at us-it's your fault conclusion.

Eugene Robinson at the Washington Post takes umbrage at our calling Islamic Suicide Jalopy Jockeys : "Islamic Fascists" stating: "Nobody wants to appease terrorists. But some people have a different idea of how to fight them. The president is right when he says this conflict is unlike other wars, but he seems to miss the essential difference: It has to be fought in a way that doesn't create two new terrorists for each one who is killed."

Practice your inalienable God given rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and take the risk of creating more terrorists. Call the terrorists -"Islamic Fascists" and create two new terrorists for each one killed. Suggestions? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Fahmi Howaidy doesn't have any either. Well, none other than the usual its-a-shame-you know who-still exists--- "nothing can be achieved inside or outside the Arab world as long as Israel’s terrorism exists". Back home at the WAPO corral, Robinson has one vaporous idea that this war (hell at least he did call it a war aka-conflict) has to be fought in such a way as to not piss off any more thugmites than necessary. The bottom line to this and the traitious voices out of Harvard University is that they keep telling me that I am providing the trigger that set off all these poor innocent, hereto peaceable Jihah Frankensteins who now, at no fault of their own, are now forced to go to war against me and my country. Good One! Too late to shovel, boys, grab your hip boots and run!

The 8th Century Takes a Dump on Mohammed Taha-- Fearless Editor

Mohammed Taha, editor-in-chief of the private daily Al-Wifaq, was beheaded by masked thugs near east Khartoum, Sudan, Tuesday. Mohammed Taha, an Islamist and former member of the National Islamic Front, pissed off Islamic Fascists thugs by printing articles about the Prophet Muhammad. He had also took editorial license with the political opposition and armed thugmites in Sudan’s western Darfur region. Last May the thugmasters tried to shut him up by a fine of 8 million Sudanese pounds or $3,200 US. This was his penalty for pissing off the thugmasters for "republishing an article from the Internet that questioned the ancestry of the Prophet Muhammad." The thugs set fire to the Al-Wifaq building trying to shut him by destroying his work place. Rest in Peace Mahammed Taha Mohammed Ahmed--your courage in the face of evil will not go unappreciated.

The Top Three Goals We Need to Kick Islamic Fascist Tuckas

Dubya's been on the stump, gathering troops to his side giving strenght to others, giving caution and warnings-- clearly spelling out what will and will not happen on his watch. Youssef Ibrahim adds another diemension that must be attended to defeat Islamofascists: "Just like the war on communism, the war on terror must combine the force of arms with the power of ideas, a higher moral purpose with a mechanism of action. In other words, the West, along with Russia and China — which have no interest in jihadist uprisings within their own territories, needs a roadmap for its war on terror, clearly detailing its ultimate goals and how it will achieve them."

The Top Three Goals:

1.The West needs strategies conveying to the vast majority of the world's 1.2 billion Muslims that acquiescence to jihadists and their ideologies means a rupture with Western civilization. The consequences for this should be spelled out by withholding Western commerce, the Internet, arms, machinery, and know-how — all of which still represent the bulk of progress as we define it in today's world. Imagine a ban on weapons and technology, on Microsoft and IBM, on Boeing, Ilyushin transport planes, and Airbus spares.

2. Draconian sanctions such as these should be applied in unison with Russia and China and clearly framed within the U.N. code. Islamic so-called moderate or client states including Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Indonesia, among others, as well as enemies such as Iran, should be provided with a yardstick to define the dismantling of the infrastructure and software of terror at home — in mosques, in schools, in theocratic institutions, and inside government itself.

That will demand total elimination of the madrassa rote systems, the restructuring of religious teachings, and the outlawing of political groups such as Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Muslim Brotherhood, which adopt religion as political vehicles.

3. In the West itself, the last vestiges of tolerance toward Islamic fundamentalism must be removed. Laws targeting extremist speech, Islamic dress, storefront unregulated mosques, and the traffic of immigrant Muslims who do not speak the language nor share the values of freedom must surface in the legal codes of America, Europe, and Australia. The West must clearly process the fact that it is facing an existential threat to its core values, and it cannot be shy about installing tools of war in its democratic practices.

Busted: Major Thug Supply Depot

Marines from 3/2 and 2nd Recon working Operation Rubicon in Mushin, Iraq, west of Habbaniyah, found the secret thug stash of 500 mortar rounds, 100 artillery rounds, 130 RPG's, 120 hand grenades, 22 mines, 10 mortar tubes, 20 rifles/machine guns, 18 sets of body armor and various other items such as bino's and bayonets.
This area was definitely an insurgent stronghold,” said Cpl. Brandon M. Stair, 25, a team leader assigned to 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, who was among the group that discovered the cache sites.

The insurgents, Stair said, had stored “stuff for the long fight, and they had stuff for tomorrow.”

One cache yielded 500 blasting caps, each one capable of detonating a single improvised explosive device. Another cache yielded mortars. Another was a stash of sniper rifles.

“Every cache was a separate set-up,” explained 35-year-old Gunnery Sgt. Kenneth A. Westgate, assigned to 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion.

“We usually find just mortars or just guns. These had a mix of everything.” Sgt. Joshua D. Cross, a 26-year-old reconnaissance team leader, said.

The Marines also made a friend. A local Iraqi came up to them and thanked them for their efforts in clearing the community infestation of thugmites.
Joshua D Cross said. “He was real grateful for what we were doing there.”

This is how the War against IslamoFascists is won: one satisfied customer at a time, one day in the long war.

Outside the Air Locker:Sadam Shihab Ahmad

Sadam Shihab Ahmad, was escorted outside the airlocker today by Iraqi police in Rawah when he tried to shoot his way out of a road block.
"Third Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, Regimental Combat Team 7, is responsible for training and mentoring the Iraqi security forces in Rawah."(Multinational Corps Iraq news release.) The Rawah operation illustrates how the Iraqi police are fast-becoming a viable law enforcement organization, said U.S. Marine Maj. Lowell F. Rector, officer in charge of the police transition teams in western Anbar province.

"The Iraqis are gathering their own intelligence, following up on leads, executing what they've been taught by coalition forces and are catching the bad guys," said Rector, a 42-year-old reservist who's a police officer in Columbus, Ohio."

In the Bag!!: Zarqawi's Replacement--al-Saeedi

Hamed Jumaa Farid al-Saeedi, AKA Abu Humam AKA Abu Rana is inside the bag. His

tenure as Zarqawi's replacement didn't last long as Iraqi security found him in his thug hideout trying to find cover behind women's skirts and little children. Masri received his promotion to number two on the hit parade after June 7th when Zarqawi met a US air strike. Despite today's announcement of Masri's capture, I'll bet dollars to doughnots he was picked up earlier in the week--just to give security time to roll up any additional lolly gaggers.

For the Record: Draft Manual on 4GW War: "America's greatest military theorist, Air Force Colonel John Boyd, used to say:

“When I was a young officer, I was taught that if you have air superiority, land superiority and sea superiority, you win. Well, in Vietnam we had air superiority, land superiority and sea superiority, but we lost. So I realized there is something more to it.”"
