DSU-3 Marines now guarding the Haditha Dam can look forward to goodies and art work from elementary school kids in Florida.
"Students plan to correspond regularly with soldiers during the coming months and will be sending care packages and inspirational pieces of artwork they created.
The school was connected to Bravo Company 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion through a personal connection between fourth-grade teacher Katie Gill and a Marine major's wife.
The unit is providing dam security in the Euphrates River valley."
