Nearly two years ago, Jan. 13, 2005 on a Thursday, the obituary of the death of the American Mainstream Media Political Party was written by Howard Fineman here. Until then, the dead brains media had pretty much ruled the roost and if Walter Cronkite could ignore facts and editorialize that our military had been whipped by the NVA why there was nothing more that President Lyndon Johnson could say but: "If I've lost Cronkite, I've lost America."[6]
After Cronkite's retirement, Dan Rather tried the same tack with the "fake but accurate" CBS story on POTUS' and his National Guard Service. This time, however, there was push back from bloggers who tore CBS and Dan Rather's evidence to shreds:[LGF Bush Guard Documents Forged] This humiliating set back for the king makers has now been amplified by yet another humiliating defeat in Iowa. The rejection of Hillary Clinton by Iowa voters marks the end of the MSM and sole function of power they exercised every four years. At The Future of News Steve Boriss says:
"What really happened in Iowa:the mainstream media permanently lost its decades old role of selecting the Democratic nominee. "
Today's cutting edge. Tomorrow's antique museum. About time. Couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch.
"And that's the way it is:Monday January 7th.",
