Note from Christopher Hitchens-Muslim boycott has Failed

A huge thanks for  all who went out and bought Danish products from your local grocer--exports to the USA increased 17% and the strongest Danish economy has compensated for the Muslim Boycott.  To all my southern friends who I badgered into trying cans of Danish Ham (oh my god, Jack,  who said they know anything about ham!) thanks.

"Postscript: A note of cheer to all those Slate
readers who either attended the Solidarity With Denmark rally, or sent
encouragement, or rallied round to buy Danish goods. I have today
received a note from one of the Copenhagen editors who published the
original cartoons, informing me that in the last quarter, Danish
exports to the United States have increased by 17 percent and that,
overall, the Danish economy has more than compensated for the results
of the unjustified Muslim boycott. Let us keep this example in mind." Christopher Hitchens
