Juan Antonio Garcia, second in command of the municipal Public Security Secretariat of Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, was assassinated in an ambush by Mexican Narco Killers Saturday near his home. The Drug Cartel gave death notices last January by leaving the photos of their future targets at the foot of the statue dedicated to those officers killed in the line of duty. Garcia was one of those targeted and since then he had requested transfer out the drug interdiction teams. As a result, he was traveling without body guards or armored vehicle. He was hit 50 times by AK-47 fire.
