Sean Huze, Two LAR Writes War Pig Play

Alert Reader notes I missed Scott Peterson's story on the return of Charlie Co., First LAR. Too right, I did. I have goggle nets out to catch anything on War Pigs but sometimes I flat out go blind. But here's a make up: The play: "The Sand Storm: Stories from the Front," is a series of monologues by 10 Marine characters. The play is based on playwright Sean Huze's experience in the 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, which fought pitched battles in Nasiriya, Kut, Baghdad and Tikrit, earning the nickname "Destroyers" from the Iraqis they fought.
The Sand Storm is being produced with backing from Operation Truth, an organization of veterans from the Iraq and Afghan wars. It will be performed March 18 through April 23 at the Elephant Asylum Theater in Santa Monica, Calif."
