ANDREW WITTMER, former sergeant 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, has been sworn in as a patrol officer for the Decatur Police Department in Illinois.
Wittmer served two tours in Iraq, the first during the 2003 Operation Iraqi Freedom . Andrew Wittmer will join his twin brother, Tim, also on the Decatur Police force. Tim Wittmer joined the Marine Corps in 1999. Andrew enlisted a month later. Together the twins served two tours in Iraq, at alternate times, so that from 2003 to 2006 there was always one Wittmer in Iraq. source
