Sgt. Daniel,
ReplyDeleteMy family is so thankful to you and your fellow soldiers for the sacrifices you take on for the rest of us here in the USA. We are fortunate enough to send our daughter to a small Christian School, where they learn and talk about God openly (something the public schools no longer do these days)
When I heard about you I just knew I had to call her school and ask the kids to make birthday cards for you. I realize your birthday has just passed, but with all you're going through I feel EACH DAY IS A GIFT FROM GOD and that each day YOU should feel a new birth. I know this becasue we lost our oldest son a year ago, in a car accident, he was only 16. I hope you find strength through your family, through God and through knowing that folks like us love you and cherish your sacrifice. God Bless you. God Bless our Troops and watch the mail, soon the you will receive a bunch of cards sent with LOVE from the Children at First Baptist Christian School.
Happy Birthday!
Gratefully,

SGT Daniel Thornhill,
ReplyDeleteMy mother just phoned to tell me about you. My middle son was in Irag twice and suffered injuries, but nothing like what you are going through. God bless you and your family and thank you from the bottom of my heart for your many sacrifices and ones to come. You have a long battle ahead of you, but do not lose that fighting spirit. You are fighting for you now, you deserve the best. You are and will remain in my prayers. I will be sending you letters and cards soon to help keep you in a positive mindset.
