I live next door to the family of Sgt. Ryan H. Lane. They are a truly remarkable family and I cannot extend my gratefulness for all of the support I see. I know they appreciate all those that extend their well-wishes, prayers, and support for Sgt. Ryan H. Lane and hope for the continued prayers for his brothers still fighting in the 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion. Much Love to all still fighting for all of our freedoms.

    Thank you

Lane may have given you a dirty look if you called him a soldier. He was a Marine.

I was fortunate enough to stand for Sgt Ryan H Lane with my PGR Brothers and Sisters at his calling hours 8-1-09. The family seemed truely remarkable, and the community so hospitable. May You all rest easier knowing Ryan is resting in PEACE.

It really hit home when Delta met up with us at Camp Dewyer. I had to keep reminding myself of what happened. Now that I'm home, it's so painful. Dude, I miss you. Your boys did great. Even Gen. nicholson mentioned "Delta's Red Plt."

It is Christmas Eve and since we have lost Ryan our lives will never be the same. Ryan was not only a true Marine but he love the Corps and believed in his Marines when they entered Afghsnistan. They say that there is a reasonn for everything and we can only think that you were in our family lives and friendships to allow us to enjoy you and know a true Hero. We love you and you are with us at all times.

Ryan you will always be in my thoughts and prayers. I will never forget you or that dreadful day and i still have the whole you burned in my fleece from the bottle rocket that one night before we left for Afghanistan. You are a true leader and warrior and brother. And you will never be forgotten.

Son,it is coming on four years since you left to be with your Marines that have also past. You continue to receive awards and honors. We all see you as a true Marine and a leader that trained his Marines to return home. I as your father still see you as a son that I was always proud of and knew you would find your place in life. You found it and I know you were happy and that is all I ever wanted, to see you happy and satisified with yourself.
Time goes on and it doesn't heal but we have to believe.
God be with you and I love you son and my best friend.
    Dad
