No More Ali Baba's, Orcs--Marines in Anbar To Reduce Forces

Marines To Cut Forces In Stable Anbar Province

Apprently, the security situation in
Anbar province is now so stable You gotta wear shades. Col. Patrick Malay, CO- RCT 5, says that the Marine regiment in charge of the area will reduce its force from five battalions to three. The two battalions that are leaving will finish their normal rotations and will not be replaced. In the meantime,on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 Fox 4th LAR was"mobilized and placed on active duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom" for more yada, yada processing and training before Fox deploys to Al Anbar Province.

Approximately 140 Marines from Fox Company reported to Marine Corps Reserve Center Eastover April 21 for mobilization, processing, and training prior to the unit moving to Camp Pendleton, Calif., in early May for additional training before the unit deploys to the Al Anbar Province region of Iraq.
